    Prasucor apixaban is a potent, reversible, direct, and highly selective oral factor Xa inhibitor indicated for the prevention of venous thromboembolism in adult patients undergoing elective hip or knee replacement surgery. It is indicated for the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in adults with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) and one or more risk factors. It is also indicated for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), and for the prevention of recurrent DVT and PE in adults.
